Taiwanp Plastics Industry Expands North America Partnerships

The Taiwan Pavilion at PLASTIMAGEN® MÉXICO 2026 will bring together 29 Taiwanese companies to connect with buyers from Mexico and across North America. The lineup spans plastics processing equipment, printing and packaging machinery, materials testing, colorants, and finished products.

Mexico is an important market for Taiwanese machinery suppliers. According to the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry’s 2025–2026 industry directory, Taiwan’s plastics and rubber machinery exports to Mexico reached US$23.88 million in 2024, ranking Mexico ninth among export destinations. Exports to the United States totaled US$64.44 million, making it the third-largest market.

Taiwan’s Ministry of Finance reports that 2025 exports to the United States reached US$650 million in plastic raw materials, US$1.8178 billion in plastic products, and US$621.6 million in rubber and articles thereof—a combined US$3.0894 billion. Mexico’s Ministry of Economy reports that Mexico imported approximately US$40.7 billion in plastics and rubber goods globally in 2024.
